This is the second book in the series and picks up as Candy and Jax are getting married. As they kiss for the first time Chase shows up. Candy does what she does best she runs. Jax chases. There are times in the book I want to slap Candy. She gives you whiplash with the way her feelings swing and not  being able to make up her mind about what or who she wants. People you thought were dead are alive. People you thought were alive are dead. So many times I just wanted to throw my kindle down and scream. This book keeps you emotionally unstable pretty much the whole way through. As much as I love Jax but there were times I hated what he was doing. Times I really had no idea what anyone was doing or shy. Yet though all that the book wraps up and you can breathe a sigh of relief and at the same time sit back and wonder just what the hell happened. I loved it all. I received an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Up and coming author Elizabeth York has been writing for about seven years. Located in the southeast, she spends her days drinking sweet tea on the porch with her laptop in hand. She has devoted her life to her family and her books. With the loss of her Father to cancer in 2010 she makes "Dear Daddy" dedication pages in each book and donates 10% royalties to cancer research.
Take the time to get to know the characters and you will love them as much as she does.

Lara Hollywell has had a crush on her boss  Blake Snowden for awhile. She never figured it would go anywhere but it was nice to dream. When it was time to draw names for secret Santa, she ends up with Blake's name she has no idea what to get him. And why now is he suddenly spending more time talking  to her. After losing her fiancĂ©  7 years before she still doesn't feel ready to move on but a crush never hurt anyone. Blake has been trying to find a way to get closer to Lara for awhile now. Rigging the secret Santa drawing seemed liked the right thing to do. Now he just needs to find her the perfect gift.
A sweet Christmas story. I think Lara was ready but was afraid of getting hurt again. She pegged Blake as a work alcoholic and a player. Finding out he was neither of these things, gave her hope. Blake was up to trying anything to get Lara's attention and a date with her. Can he convince her to take a chance on him. Wonderful way to get into the holiday spirit. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

EJ was born and raised in a suburb of West London where she still lives with Mr. T her first love and partner of twenty-two years, and their ‘child giant’ seventeen year old son. Additional snuggles come from Chloe, her fourteen year old black moggy. She's a bit of a character and loves nothing more than to lie down and read with E.J.

Having worked in education for the better part of 12 years, EJ decided a change was needed and, following a moment of inspiration, she decided to put pen to paper and start writing her first novel, Silver Lining. Not content with just the one, she continued with book two and hopes to write many more.

She has always enjoyed reading, but found it was mostly just a holiday extravagance. Then she discovered a certain worldwide best seller, and that was it she was hooked. Reading quickly became an obsession and she couldn’t devour books fast enough. The books on her shelves and reading device range from sweet, Young Adult romances, to smouldering erotic encounters.

Aside from reading and writing, EJ also enjoys amateur photography and cake decorating.

“I am on one amazing roller coaster ride at the moment, meeting new and wonderful people, discovering new music gems to integrate into my stories, and learning so many new skills. I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me.”

If you would like to join E.J. on her journey, please follow or contact her. She would love to hear from you!
