Forrest nibbled at her
upper lip and she opened her mouth, his tongue swept inside and her nails dug
into his suit as she clung to him. Her
brain stopped working and all she knew was his tongue curling around hers. She moaned and he pulled her back upright,

"Forrest!" She
wrapped her arms around his neck and held on for dear life. She'd never been carried before, and it kind
of hurt where her weight rested on his arms.

guests," she finally muttered, trying to blink the romantic haze from her
eyes.

"They left a while ago." He was carrying her to the bedroom.
"Forrest, I-" he silenced her as his mouth found hers
again. The bed was at her back and he
was over her, tasting, tempting, drawing her further into his promises of
pleasure. Before she knew it, she'd
unbuttoned his suit jacket and pushed it off his shoulders. He shrugged out of it, his lips never leaving
hers. She wrenched at his tie and

Forrest yanked at the tie, managing to undo the knot. She was undressing him, and he knew if he
stopped kissing her, she would protest.
Besides, now that he'd had a taste of her, he did not know how to
stop. Her hands splayed across his bare
chest, and he slid his hands under her back, pressing those full breasts
against him. He broke away first,
needing to breathe for a short moment, but kept his hold on her. Her eyes were closed and he pressed kisses
along her jaw, down her neck, and further still, his tongue grazing where her
dress barely contained her breasts.

Forrest works for the DEA, going under cover he finds out his partner for the new assignment is none other then Addie, a women he has asked out multiple times and she always turns him down. They are going in undercover as a couple. When their boss Terry decides it would work even better if they really got married.
Enjoyed the story. Forrest thought he hit the jackpot when he was finally getting the women he wanted. Addie was dealing with something from her past that made her shy away from men. The animals inside know they are mates but convincing Addie's human side is going to take some time. In between doing their assignment, family secrets coming to light and being made as DEA by a drug dealer things get interesting alone the way. This was a shifter book but the characters really don't do any shifting. Their animal sides are mentioned.

First and foremost, it is a pleasure to have you here.
So, can you tell us what makes C.A. Tibbitts tick? What got you started on the path to becoming an author?
Growing up, English and Literature were my favorite subjects in school and college. After I got married (almost 18 years ago!), the internet and instant messaging were getting pretty popular. I created a "fan fic" writing group based on the first television version of La Femme Nikita (Peta Wilson version). It is still active at present!
When I quit my last 'outside of home' job (a paralegal for a District Attorney), I decided to write a short story and publish it, just to see if anybody besides me would read it. That short story is Shifted For Love, and it is the first book in my current series Pepper Valley Shifters!
This current book, Shifter Under Cover, uses my 'sweet spot' for writing, as it has a lot of elements I use in my writing group. It is my favorite book I've written so far!
What are you currently working on? Would you care to share a snippet?
Currently working on a short story for another anthology that will publish April 1, 2015. Tentatively titled "Ghost Of A Chance", here is a small excerpt:
On her way to the front desk, she tried in vain to shift away the strand of hair that kept falling over her left eye. A large shadow fell over the desk. "Hello, and welcome to the…" She finally looked up. Oh, this day just keeps getting better and better! Sarcasm, her dearest friend.
Grant Harrison flashed that hundred-watt grin at her, and though it had been almost fifteen years since she'd last saw him, her panties dampened and her nipples hardened to the point of cutting glass.
"Hi, Ness."
"What are you doing here?" Harsh, maybe, but he was the one that left. She often daydreamed about what might have been if her high school sweetheart, her first for everything, hadn't left to play football at the University of Oklahoma. Never mind that he had begged her to come with him. Missouri was her home, and she was content to live her life in the only home she'd ever known.
His smile faltered and a sadness crept into his features. "Momma died last night."
Do you include some of your own personal experiences in your books or do you prefer to use your imagination?
Mostly my imagination, but I admit that a good portion of my female characters are very stubborn and sarcastic (like me).
What genre do you typically write in and why did you choose this over others?
I typically write in paranormal romance, though I am beginning to branch out in contemporary. I write the same genres that I read.
Do you have a specific process or a ritual you go through when sitting down to write?
Since I am a visual person, I decide on an actor or sports person (someone in the public eye) that my character(s) will look like. I gather several pictures of them into a file for the book, and if stuck, I will look at those or watch interviews and such - and that helps me get going again!
Where do you find your inspiration for your plots? Do you have any tricks of the trade you would care to share?
Usually, I am just doing mundane things, where you mind wanders (like doing dishes or cleaning), and I'll come up with things that I think could be great. The idea grows from there.
I would say you need to figure out what inspires you. Are you a visual person (like me), or do you like to sit down and plot out the entire story, etc. Go with what works best for you and your own style.
What is the oddest place/situation where an idea for a book/plot has come to you?
Some of my best plot points have come from my husband's dreams! He had this awesome dream of a belt that turned into a motorcycle - and I used that for an alien visiting Earth story! He has the craziest dreams! Hey, take inspiration where you find it! ;)
What makes a book stand out and perk your interest?
First and foremost, I look at the cover. Then I will read some/all of the blurb to see if it interests me. If I am unsure, I'll look at some of the reviews.
I have a new book blog, and it has taught me that I like all sorts of things I would never have chosen for myself! It's okay to venture out of your comfort zones sometimes. You just might like what you find!
We all have our favorite authors. Can you share some of yours and tell us why you like them?
Eve Langlais: I love her stories because they are hot, but also tend to be very humorous. I love that!
Laurann Dohner: Her ongoing "New Species" series is my all-time favorite! (I think it's up to mid-teens in number of books) Always hot, tons of action!
Rebecca Zanetti: So sad to see her vampire "Dark Protectors" series end, but it was also SO satisfying! Super hot, lots of action! I am also not-so-patiently awaiting books from her other series - a super soldier series, and a cowboy series. Both are awesome!
I have so many other favorites, but can't list all of them here!
We all have a pet peeve, care to share yours?
At home, I despise when I am in the zone writing, and I get tons of phone calls! Most tend to be unsolicited sales. Ugh!
When you’re not writing, what are the things you enjoy doing to relax?
Watching TV with my husband, social media sites (Facebook addict here!), shopping, swimming in my pool (sadly, only in summer), and most of all - READING! I always am in the middle of reading a book. When finished, I WRITE A REVIEW AND POST EVERYWHERE, then begin another book! J
