Review: The Brynthwaite Boys: Box Set, Part 1

The Brynthwaite Boys: Box Set, Part 1 The Brynthwaite Boys: Box Set, Part 1 by Merry Farmer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Episode 1- In the first episode we are getting introduced to the characters. Flossie arrives in Brynthwaite to start her new job at the hotel Jason Throckmorton is opening. Dr. Marshall Pycroft is running the hospital as the only DR there. Lawrence Smith the blacksmith finds a women hurt and with no memory. Enjoying getting to know the characters in the story and how they inter connect with each other.

Episode 2- As the story comes together. Flossie makes herself indispensable to Jason in the hotel. DR. Lady Alexandra is enjoying her work at the hospital. Finally having the chance to do what she is trained for. Jason is determined to court Lady Elizabeth. He sees it as his chance to move up in the world. Lawrence is keeping Matty safe but she still doesn't remember much about what happened. I have to say I am really getting involved with the characters. Each one is unique and I can see this series as becoming addicting.

Episode 3- Marshall is still reeling from the death of his wife. Trying to keep his family together and run the hospital is taking more effort then he thought. Now his wife's family is trying to take the girls to London. Flossie gets a letter from home with bad news and she needs more money and has no idea of how to get it. Alexandra's mother is trying to do anything to keep her daughter away from the hospital.

Episode 4- Jason and Flossie are keeping their relationship a secret. They both have their reasons for it and they know it is short term. Matty feels safe living with Lawrence in the blacksmith. The opening of the hotel brings everyone together under one roof. So much went on in this episode, really got things rolling in the series.

Episode 5- Jason is relying on Flossie more and more in bed and out. Matty and Lawrence take their relationship one step farther. Alexandra's mother is planning a house party.. Determined to keep her daughter out of working in the hospital. Elizabeth doesn't care about the party she is determined to never marry. Men are not what she is looking for. Polly while collecting gossip in town catches on to Flossie and Jason.

Episode 6- Alexandra is side tracked by George Fretwell who she thought she was in love with years before. He has been invited to the house party and seems intent on picking up where they left off. Marshall gives a speech trying to get more donations for the hospital. Alexandra was supposed to help but she gets side tracked with George. When an old friend of Lawrence recognizes Matty, Lawrence heads to her town to uncover the truth in what happened to her. Opening up a whole new can of worms.

Loving this series. I really am looking forward the next set of episodes. I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.
