Daniel slid into his seat and away from Eric, but his arms remained tense. His brothers wouldn’t like this plan. He didn’t like this plan. “I’m to babysit the spoiled rich princess and keep her away from the cops and the alcohol, this trip.”

He pressed his lips together. He expected his brothers to have an opinion, but silence greeted his ears.

All eyes went back to the door.

His collar grew warmer. Daniel glanced around to stare in the same direction. He assumed Kate Sparrow had stepped into the club.

His eyes scanned the room, and then the crowds parted. He had his first look. Time might have stopped, and he heard his own heartbeat. Brown hair with a bit of a curl, brown eyes, small frame, unusually large breasts for a woman her size, and an energy that took his breath away. He also noted that Kate’s eyes held a gleam, and Daniel’s mouth fell open. Kate Sparrow was the most beautiful woman he’d seen in a long while.

Beauty meant trouble. He turned back to his beer and refused to stare at her.

The pictures in the papers hadn’t done her justice at all. How did they turn that pretty woman into a viper with a camera? His mind raced. Did she have a Jekyll and Hyde personality that came out at night?

Victoria Pinder grew up in Irish Catholic Boston then moved to Miami. Eventually, found that writing is her passion.

She always wrote stories to entertain herself. Her parents are practical minded people demanding a job, but when she sat down to see what she enjoyed doing, writing became obvious.

CHARACTER BIOS

Kate Sparrow is the oldest daughter. Her younger sister, Stephanie, is in league with her father to ensure that no one takes her seriously. They have made people think she’s another pointless heiress gone wild, a la Paris Hilton. Then there is an art theft charge from a museum that involved her with the FBI. Kate’s about to turn the tables on her family. Her father is in jail now and she’s determined he stay there. She’s off to her sister’s wedding on the cruise ship as it brings her to the Cayman islands and the bank security box that her mother left her. The evidence she needs to clear her name is there, and no one is going to stop her.

Doctor Daniel Collins was in the Marines as it paid for medical school. He didn’t need the money, but he wanted to earn his way just like everyone else. He’s the oldest of the Collins brothers. Now that his service is done, he’s about to open a medical practice in his hometown on the Cape in Hyannis. He’s going on the cruise to watch out for his young cousin, Eric. Daniel’s joined by his brothers on this mission. He had zero intention of falling for any woman, let alone the trouble is her middle name Kate Sparrow.

Kate has been painted as the spoiled socialite. The party girl. Now the accused art thief. It is all an illusion. She lets the world think what it will. Having to go on a cruise for her sisters wedding is the last thing she wants to do. Doctor Duncan Campbell is on the cruise for his cousins wedding. Asked to keep an eye on Kate he was no intentions of getting close to her just babysit. As he gets to know her he realizes there is more to her then what he has heard and been told. Now he just wants to protect her.

So many twists and turns. I loved Kate, can't blame her for not trusting anyone. Being set up by her father and sister and know someone on the cruise is out to get her. The only bright spot is Duncan. She is to afraid to let him in. Duncan is rich yet so laid back. He just knows in his gut that Kate is different and finds himself falling for her. Now he needs to keep her safe and find the truth.
