I received this book in exchange for an honest review
This is Jon and Whitney's story. They meet in Tied up in Heartstrings. The books are standalone and you do not have to read the first one to understand the storyline. Jon is finally getting his life back on track. Not that Garrett or the other band members gave him much of a choice. But he will admit they probably saved his life. His fist day home and he knows when Whitney arrives. They spent time together when they first met. After that she avoided him. The way she makes him feel, he doesn't want to lose. So maybe now he will get a second chance.
Whitney is still attracted to Jon and feels the spark between them. Coming from a broken home and never feeling good enough. Whitney figures it is easier to not fall in love. It only brings pain and heartache. Fear keeps her from taking a chance. Until an accident and she realizes what could have happened she goes running to Jon's side.
This is my second book by Felica Lynn and it was as wonderfully written as the first one. She really draws you in with the emotions and depth of characters. Wasn't expecting the huge cliffhanger at the end. I am looking forward to the next book.

It has been almost two years since the death of her husband Jed, Alexis was having trouble moving on. Everything in her life revolved around her daughter Sierra. Her group of girlfriends are on her to start going on the girl's weekends again. They aren't taking no for an answer anymore. Spa trip at a local resort did sound good. The first day went by great. At the bar that night after discovering it was open mic night the girls try to talk Alexis into singer. At the least minute she decides to go for it, figuring she could cheer up Kelsey up. Never thinking as she took the stage she would run into her college friend Garrett McKenna. Now a country singer super star. The one man she had the biggest crush on.
This book really drew me in. Lots of emotions. Alexia is afraid to move on. On one hand she wants to honor the memory of her husband and on the other she lives for her daughter. Garrett doesn't want to lost touch with her again. And is willing to do anything to keep her in his life. He is one of the most laid back music stars I have I come across in a book. You can't help but fall in love with him.
If your looking for a romantic book, with hot sex, some drama this is book for you.
