Excerpt #1
Marcia yawned as Declan jammed the keycard into their hotel room door. The green light flickered, and he shoved the door open. Home sweet home, at least for the night. They’d stopped in some tiny town in Pennsylvania. At three in the morning, they were both exhausted. After taking subways and trains for much of the evening, they’d paid cash for a car and had driven for a few hours. They were out of danger, at least for the moment—she hoped.
“I think I’m going to hop in the shower,” Marcia said setting her purse down on the bed closest to the bathroom.
“This one’s your bag,” he said, handing her a plastic sack. They’d made a quick stop at a store to pickup a few necessities.
Her fingers grazed over his as she took her things from him. Declan’s hand lingered on hers, neither of them wanting to part. His calloused palm fit over hers perfectly, and she shivered, wondering how it would feel caressing her body. All afternoon, she’d been fighting their intense attraction. She’d needed to stay focused to ensure they escaped the city safely. Now it was just them, and one tiny hotel room.
Marcia took a step closer. Declan swallowed and hesitantly reached up to tuck one of her blonde locks behind her ear. I want him. “Shower with me.” She knew how to be forward. In the pack she’d been timid and fearful, but out on your own, you had to take charge. She had a feeling that if she showed Declan a little boldness his inner wolf would take over and he would show that confidence brimming beneath the surface. I just have to coax it out of him. “I want you to take me in the shower,” she whispered huskily.
Declan didn’t need any further encouragement. He tugged her to him, crashing his warm, hard mouth against hers. Marcia trembled with delight as his tongue parted her lips. I need more. She gripped the back of his head, pulling him impossibly closer so she could thrust her tongue into his mouth. He tasted like honey and sin. She wanted all of him, to feel him everywhere.
He broke away, peppering kisses from her jaw to her neck. His fingers fumbled with the buttons on her blouse, desperately trying to release them. She shrugged her shirt off and then tugged his tee up and over his head. Biting her lip, she skimmed her fingers down over his toned chest. Muscles rippled over his pecks, and his six-pack begged to be touched. Yum. Look at all these delicious muscles. Marcia took her time, exploring the hard curves of his body with the pads of her fingers. Exquisite.
Her hand trailed lower, and she grinned as she flicked the button of his jeans open. Slowly, she lowered the zipper, her eyes widening slightly as she took in the large bulge. A chill of anticipation zipped up her spine. I need to feel him inside of me. Curling her fingers around his boxers, she tugged him to her.
Declan’s hands went to her waist and then skimmed up her sides. Butterflies fluttered in her belly as his fingers tickled under her arms before gliding to her back. Her bra loosened, and she let the garment slip down her arms and fall to the floor. Declan stepped forward, ducking his head down, he took one of her breasts into his mouth. She groaned as his warm tongue circled over her areola. Yes. Yes. Yes.

Excerpt #2
“How long are you going to stare at that card before you call her?” Bray asked as he munched on a chip.
Declan glared at his brother who was sprawled across the couch. He’d stare at it as long as he needed to. His fingers twitched. Why can’t I pick up the phone and call her? I know I want to. He tapped the card on the counter top as he contemplated.
“Do it already.” Bray tossed a chip at him. “Your indecision is making me uneasy.”
“Knock it off, Bray,” Rhea called as she strolled into the front room. The one bedroom apartment they shared was tiny. Rhea had the only bedroom. Declan shared the tiny living room with Bray. It was all they could afford. Hopefully not for long, close confines with his siblings was driving him insane.
“She wouldn’t have given out her number if she didn’t want you to call. You’re worrying too much,” Bray continued.
“He does have a point,” Rhea conceded. “It’s been a week since you saw her. She’ll think you aren’t interested or left town if you don’t call soon.”
It’d been a long, agonizing week. Declan cursed under his breath and scrubbed a hand over his jaw. “I’m going out.” He didn’t wait for his siblings to respond. He trudged to the door and slammed it shut behind him.
Bray muttered something under his breath, but he couldn’t quite pick up on it. It was better that way. His brother could be an ass at times.
Not only did Declan not have experience with female wolves, but his experience with women in general was lacking. He’d picked up a few women out on the road, but he’d never gotten to know one before. Bray was outgoing, Declan was content to sit quietly by while his brother got all the attention. Times like these, he envied Bray’s ability to chitchat with anyone.
Now isn’t the time to think about Bray. He shook his head and ran a hand through his hair. Ambling down the stairs, he pushed the door open and blinked against the blinding sunlight. Declan placed his hand on his brow, using it as a visor so he could look down the street.
People bustled across the busy sidewalk. Car horns blared and vehicles whizzed by. Smog tainted the air, making it heavy, and harder to breathe. He doubted anyone else noticed the poor air quality. They were too rushed to reach their destinations. Slowly, he moved down the stairs and onto the busy street. If I can’t call her, maybe I should seek her out. Yeah, your last meeting went so well. It’s easier to talk in person. Before he lost his nerve, he raised his hand up to hail a cab. He needed to see Marcia.

Author Bio
Bethany Shaw
I am happily married to my husband of almost nine years and have two wonderful children. I have always loved reading and writing and am thrilled to have published my first novel. Paranormal romance is my go to genre and the genre I prefer to write in. I love the unique feel of creating an entirely different world and implementing it into the human verse.

REVIEW
4 stars
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review
Part two in the Wayward Wolf series. Marcia is hiding out in New York. Trying to stay one step ahead of Killian and the pack. While running in the park she catches the scent of a unfamiliar wolf. Declan is running with his brother Bray and his sister Rhea. Catching the scent of Marcia, he doesn't know if to run or chase it down. they are trying to stay hidden but the scent entices him.
Marcia finally gets her story. She has been on her own since she and Astrid spit up to keep the pack from finding them. Astrid has her mate Kendrick and Marcia has felt alone. The story is fast paced and short. Love the characters. They are well developed for such a short story and ties in with the first book.
