Anabella loved Marc, but with Renata threatening to have Michael arrested for sexual harassment and losing the family business. Marc has no choice but to give in to Renata's demands. He must marry her. Annabella needs to get away, she isn't going to stop searching for something on Renata. Anything to free Marc from her clutches. Two years later finds Anabella living in France and trying to make a new life for herself. Getting a job at the embassy. She meets Dillan Jones and for the first time since Marc, she feels something. But even with Dillan it makes more drama in her life.
This was one of those books that kept you turning pages. Annabella is a wonderful character. After everything she has been through she just keeps on going. Trying to pick up the pieces of her life. At first I was cheering on Marc, hoping something came up to save him from Renata. But once he is married, I just want Annabella to find somebody that makes her happy. I think Dillan does that. Yet he has women that has been following him around and one his mother approves of. Just seems Annabella can't catch a break. Then the end of the book comes. With another cliff hanger. I really didn't like how it ended. Like Annabella doesn't have enough going on in her life. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
