Hailee escaped a abusive relationship. Heading to a new place to start over, she was still looking over her shoulder. When Lance saw her walking down the road, something about her just pulled him in. She wouldn't give him the time of day. Hailee found herself attracted to Lance, a K-9 officer, after what happened with the last man she was with, she was trying her hardest not to think about him. Something that isn't so easy to do considering everywhere she went she was seeing him. But then he found her again, Brandon had been here.
Enjoyed the story, Hailee, had escaped a abusive relationship after a trip to the hospital. She was still afraid Brandon would come after her. But she was willing to take a chance with Shawn. Shawn was slowly coming back from the death of his wife. He wanted Hailee in his life and was willing to go as slow as she needed. He wanted to keep her safe. Touching and moving story.
