I fell in love with Ian and Elyse. Elyse had a abusive relationship with Cole and after her hit her she kicked him out. Being no way prepared for an Alaskan winter Elyse struggles to survive. Deciding to advertise for a husband. Not a romantic relationship but a partnership to help her on the homestead. When Ian showed up at her door that is what she thought he was there for. Ian was only delivering a letter but something about Elyse called to him and made him want to spend time with him. He thought once she found out his secret she would send him on his way.
This wasn't your typical shifter fall in love story. There is so much more going on. The hibernation, the McCalls and how the Silver boys were raised. Since it is a series I am guessing those little secrets will slowly come to light in each book. Looking forward to reading the next one.
