Forever My Home, by Alora Kate
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Adalyn lived a sheltered life with her parents. Home schooled and kept close to her parents until the day her mother tells her she needs to go. To keep going until she is far away. With new eye and hair color a whole new identity, Adalyn ends up in the small town of Aster Lake. Finding out it is hard to fly under the radar in a small town, Adalyn settles in with her new friend Madi. A new job and soon her own apartment. Rudd Archer a police officer in Aster Lake tends to keep to himself. Yet something about his new tenant keeps drawing him back. He knows she is hiding something.
You are drawn into the story from the first page. What big secret is Adalyn's parents hiding. For being so sheltered Adalyn finds herself trying to adapt to life on her own. Madi doesn't let her keep to herself. Rudd was different. He life changes when a secret from his past comes forward. One ne never knew. Then he finds himself unable to keep away from Adalyn. Plenty of suspense and romance. I received an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.
